North Carolina Signature Magazine Editor Elizabeth Hudson wrote about the effect one of Tracey’s paintings can have — this was one of her Party Girls™ Series:

These days, I don’t have any classes in art museums, but I love it when art pops up in unlikely places.

The other day, during lunch at Ganache Bakery and Café, I looked up and saw Greensboro artist Tracey Marshall’s 25-foot-wide canvas hanging on the transom overhead. In the painting, 13 women are seated at a table, all sitting on the same side—that is, directly across from the viewer—sharing wine, sharing food, and sharing the space with the spectator.

For a minute, I could pretend they were sitting with me.

Art, if you allow it, has inclusiveness to it. It invites you to come into its world and inhabit a different space for as long as you like.

Tracey was featured in local business magazine, Bizlife Magazine. The article describes Tracey’s shift from sole-ownership of her art gallery to a co-op art gallery:

…she has found a business that allows her to be a wife, stepmother of two, artist, co-owner and manager…

Taking a good idea and tweaking it into a great one, Marshall leaves lasting impressions, as two of her 20-foot-plus artwork—called “Party Girls”—can be seen in downtown Greensboro…

Marshall also [has] a new venture with Ashley F. Wall to get...her work licensed.  She...is busy preparing for a show next May in New York City [Surtex 2008] that will allow her to display more than 40 pieces of her work.

“I could have never found the time to do this without the business being a co-op,” Marshall admits.
